Samson of Zettabyte...

Samson is a man who never lies. He hates lying. The problem is, no one ever believes him. He is unjustly found guilty to a crime he doesnt commit and is sent to jail for 25 years....DUN DUN DUNNN

Samson of Zettabyte.

Samson wandered the city trying not to look anyone in the eyes. It was raining so no one really wanted to look up anyways but Samson made extra careful not to make eye contact. The ground was black and shiny something Samson appreciated, he only wished that the damn city lights weren't so bright. Every neon light was on tonight, it was like the city was screaming out to heaven. Challenging it. The city of Zettabyte loved it's lights just as much as it loved its cyborgs. One trip, like Samson's down the boardwalk, you could probably see, talk to, flip off, flirt with, or laugh with at least one cyborg. They were everywhere and Zettabyte kept pumping them out.

In Zettabyte there were no funerals, just auctions. When someone died the best part of them were sold to the highest bidder for use in a cyborg. Usually scientists brains were bought and their bodies burned, athletics were specifically sought after because as advanced as cyborg technology was they still had an uneasy way of moving about the word. As if they were about to fall every step they took. Vagina's were also highly sought after as well, because everyone is sick some of the time. The dead writers and poets were burned whole, nothing of theirs was useful. Samson told his family to burn him whole as well. He couldn't stand the idea of being dead without all of his body parts. Wasn't natural he thought.

Samson thought about the cyborgs as he passed by a small shop advertising customizable cyborgs at fair prices. On the streets of Zettabyte you could get anything you wanted at a fair price, depending on your definition of fair. Samson felt around inside his pocket and felt his credit card underneath his fingers, really needed that train ticket and his card only had enough for one ticket. If he could get on that train he would be happy he thought. Away from Zettabyte.

“Hey big boy” a synthetic voice said from an alley way. “Ever get your dick sucked by a model 8?”

“Uh no I haven't” Samson really wanted to be on his way but the cyborg had grabbed hold of his arm. He tugged but the hydraulic pistons in the cyborgs arms didn't budge.

“It's your lucky day sailor. I suck your dick cheap” The cyborg pulled him into the alley. It had human eyes, to be more sensual. They looked more dead to Samson then beautiful. The cyborg began to lower itself to the ground. Not on it's knees or anything, its legs went inside of itself as it lowered to the ground. The gate around its mouth opened up and Samson could see inside of its mouth. There was black silicon lining the inside of the mouth and little nozzles that began to spray lubricant around the inside. Samson couldn't look at it anymore, he had to escape. He looked around for an escape route while the robot went for the zipper on his pants.

Above him was a neon sign contributing to the heavenly challenge of the city. Hanging from it was a large wire supplying it with power. Samson ripped the wire out of the wall and rammed it into the model 8 cyborgs open lubricated mouth. The cyborg short circuited and fell to the ground. It's eyes were wide and darted back and forth frantically. Unnaturally. The eyes were pleading for help for Samson to rip them out and free them from its prison. Samson was frightened and ran. He'd have his eyes pulled out soon enough. Samson knew he would be charged for destruction of private property if anyone saw him so he ducked into the first open door he could find. He didn't know this was fates door. It opened easy enough how could he know.

There was absolutely nothing inside this building Samson was in. It must have been a storage building that was used to store nothing. The quiet of the building was a shock compared to the noise on the streets, there wasn't even cyborgs in this building, Samson thought it strange. But perhaps he thought to quickly because from the rafters he could hear a low rumble like a car motor. Samson began to walk to the other side of the building in hopes get both getting out of the building and to avoiding the crowd surrounding the malfunctioning cyborg. As he walked the rumbling got louder, and louder and then burst into a roar. Samson looked up to the rafters and saw the first cyborg animal he had ever seen.

It was a large metallic lion with a dead lions teeth, tail, paws and eyes. Around it's head were small exhaust pipes shooting out black smoke, creating a small smoke mane for the lion. It eyes glowed bright green around the lids and the smog surrounding the lion made them glow even larger. Samson had never seen anything like it, animal cyborg experimentation were outlawed back when the cyborg treaty was made. It was said that cyborg animals were unnatural and had no place in Zettabyte. Yet here one was staring him down from the rafters of a large empty storage building. Samson began to run for the exit hoping to make the door before the lion pounced. Nothing ever works out like its planned. The lion pounced.

It jumped down from the rafters and began running towards Samson. The force of hitting the ground knocked Samson to the ground. All he could do now was stare. As it pushed itself to greater speeds the exhaust coming out of his body caught fire and created a flaming mane around the lion. It's eyes were blood shot and dead like something that has stop seeing a long time ago. They focused only on what the computer mind told it to but they never really saw anything. The human cyborg eyes always frightened Samson but the lions eyes were like understanding the meaning of death. Samson closed his eyes waiting for the lion.
In the dark of his head surrounded by the pounding of the lion bearing down on him Samson saw clearly. He saw his parents in the mouth of the machine lion crying out for him. He saw a woman he didn't know get torn to bits by the lion. He saw the lion rise above the city of Zettabyte and watched as every single person bowed in unison. He saw the end, the beginning, the middle, and the epilogue. He saw.

He opened his eyes just as the lion was about to close its mouth around Samson's head with 600 pounds of pressure. Samson grabbed the upper and bottom half of the lions mouth and held it at bay. He looked into the lions eyes, green light glowing around them obstructing a clear view of the organic eyes of the dead lion. In that moment Samson saw the lions eyes tell him it was ok. The eyes no longer looked dead, they looked pleading. When Samson ripped the lion in half the eyes even looked happy.

Samson left the twitching body of the lion on the floor, he'd be back for it. When he came back a couple of days later bee's had used the carcass for a nest. They had created great honeycombs inside of the lion machine and worked busily. Samson took a handful of honey from the corpse and ate it. The honey tasted digital and synthetic, like ones and zeros in his body. Corrupted data flowed through him. Just before he blacked out he could see shoes, walking towards him.
